Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers about our services and regulatory scope.

These answers are intended to help visitors understand how SAS Legal Consultancy Limited operates and the limits of our non-reserved legal services.

What are non-reserved legal services?

Non-reserved legal services are legal support services that do not fall within the reserved legal activities restricted to authorised persons. Our work may include legal research, drafting assistance, document preparation, document review and practical legal consultancy within the scope of what we are lawfully permitted to provide.

Are you authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority?

No. SAS Legal Consultancy Limited is not authorised or regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority. We are an independent legal consultancy and we do not hold ourselves out as a firm of solicitors.

Can you provide reserved legal services?

No. We do not undertake reserved legal activities, including conducting litigation, exercising rights of audience, reserved instrument activities, probate activities, notarial activities or administering oaths. Where a matter requires an authorised legal professional, we will make that clear.

Do you work with solicitors and law firms?

Yes. SAS Legal Consultancy Limited collaborates with solicitors, law firms and other authorised legal professionals by providing non-reserved legal support services, including legal research, drafting assistance, document review and case preparation support. Where a matter involves reserved legal activities, those activities remain the responsibility of an appropriately authorised legal professional. Our services are limited to work that we are lawfully permitted to undertake.

Can you assist with ongoing litigation?

We may provide non-reserved support such as legal research, document organisation, chronologies, drafting assistance and case preparation support. We do not conduct litigation, act on the court record, exercise rights of audience or represent clients in court.

Can you represent me in court?

No. SAS Legal Consultancy Limited does not provide advocacy or rights of audience services. If court representation is required, you should instruct an appropriately authorised legal professional.

Do you work with businesses and individuals?

Yes. We support businesses and individuals with non-reserved legal consultancy, document assistance, drafting support and practical guidance. If an enquiry falls outside our lawful scope, we will explain that an authorised legal professional may be required.

How do consultations work?

After receiving an enquiry, we review whether the matter appears suitable for non-reserved legal services. If it is suitable, we can discuss the scope of assistance, timescale and fee structure before any engagement is confirmed.
